The Elite
Jaxon Smith-Njigba - $9,100
Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been one of the most dominant volume receivers in the NFL through three weeks, averaging 12 targets, 9 receptions and 135 receiving yards per game while scoring twice. He has turned that volume into 37.7 fantasy points per game, and the matchup with the Chargers gives him another opportunity to maintain that elite production. Los Angeles is allowing opposing wide receivers 33.9 fantasy points per game, which ranks 19th, and their defense has allowed a substantial amount of production to the position despite Seattle's receiving corps having multiple weapons. JSN is also playing an enormous percentage of Seattle's offensive snaps and has clearly established himself as the focal point of the passing game. With a 12-target-per-game workload, 135 receiving yards per game and an opponent allowing nearly 34 DK points per game to WRs, Smith-Njigba has both the floor and ceiling we're looking for from an elite DraftKings option.
Ja'Marr Chase - $8,100
Ja'Marr Chase is another elite option whose combination of volume and explosive-play ability makes him extremely difficult to overlook. Through three games, Chase is averaging 6.8 receptions and 84.0-plus receiving yards per game, with a Week 4 projection around 6.8 receptions, 83 yards and 0.7 touchdowns. The matchup with Jacksonville is particularly interesting because the Jaguars are allowing 36.0 DraftKings points per game to opposing wide receivers, putting them among the more favorable WR environments on the slate. Chase also carries one of the highest target shares among elite receivers, meaning Cincinnati doesn't need a massive passing volume game for him to get there — his share of the offense can create the production on its own. With his combination of target concentration, touchdown equity and big-play ability, Chase has the type of ceiling you want to target when paying up at WR.
CeeDee Lamb - $7,800
CeeDee Lamb is coming off a massive opening three-game stretch in which he has averaged 8.3 targets, 6.7 receptions and 103 receiving yards per game, along with a touchdown per game. That production has translated to 25.6 DraftKings points per game, making him one of the most productive high-end receivers on the slate. The matchup against Houston is especially intriguing because the Texans are allowing 41.0 DraftKings points per game to opposing wide receivers, ranking 30th in the matchup data. Lamb is also playing nearly 80% of Dallas' offensive snaps, giving him a consistent opportunity base regardless of game script. The combination of 8.3 targets per game, more than 100 receiving yards per game and a favorable Houston matchup gives Lamb a very strong ceiling, while his reception volume provides enough PPR production to keep him competitive even if he doesn't score.
Garrett Wilson - $6,800
Garrett Wilson is an extremely interesting elite WR option on DraftKings at $6,800, especially considering the combination of volume and matchup. Through three games, Wilson has seen 27 targets, turning them into 21 receptions for 243 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a monster 13-target, 10-catch, 107-yard, 1-touchdown performance against Detroit in Week 3. His workload has been extremely consistent, averaging 9 targets per game, with an average of 7 receptions and 81 receiving yards per game. The matchup with Chicago is particularly appealing because the Bears have leaned heavily on man coverage, and Wilson has been exceptional against that coverage this season. Chicago's defense is specifically vulnerable to the type of explosive passing game Wilson can take advantage of, with Wilson commanding a 9-target-per-game workload, playing over 85% of the Jets' snaps and now facing a defense whose coverage tendencies line up extremely well with his strengths, he offers one of the better combinations of volume, matchup and salary among the high-end WRs on the Week 4 main slate.
Searching for value
Michael Wilson — $5,500
Michael Wilson has quickly become one of the most attractive value receivers on the Week 4 main slate because the volume is simply too good for his salary. Through three games, Wilson has 31 targets, 18 receptions, 163 receiving yards and a touchdown, giving him a massive 25.6% target share. He is also playing over 90% of Arizona's offensive snaps and owns a 35.1% first-read share, which leads the Cardinals. The biggest positive for Wilson this week is the matchup with the Giants, who have allowed the 11th-most fantasy points per opportunity to perimeter wide receivers while ranking 18th in yards per target allowed to the position. Wilson also has five red-zone targets, giving him legitimate touchdown upside in addition to the high reception volume. After seeing 17 targets in Week 3 and turning them into 11 catches for 89 yards and a touchdown, Wilson has demonstrated a ceiling that is extremely difficult to find at $5,500. The combination of a 25%+ target share, near-every-down playing time and a favorable perimeter matchup makes him one of the strongest salary-saving WR options on the slate.
Jordan Addison — $5,300
Jordan Addison is one of the most interesting value receivers on the slate, but his Week 4 outlook is heavily tied to Justin Jefferson's availability. Addison has 16 targets through three games, including nine targets in Week 3 after Jefferson essentially left the game, and he turned those nine opportunities into five receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown. Addison's season-long target share currently sits around 24%, and his role becomes substantially more valuable if Jefferson is unable to play. That situation would also put Addison in an outstanding matchup against Miami. The Dolphins have been one of the league's most vulnerable pass defenses early this season, ranking 31st in opponent yards per pass attempt at 9.1 and 32nd in opponent completion rate at 80.3%. Addison has also historically produced significantly better numbers when Jefferson is unavailable, averaging 15.4 fantasy points per game across eight career games without Jefferson, compared with a 17% target share when Jefferson is active. At only $5,300, Addison has legitimate tournament-winning upside if Jefferson is ruled out, while the Miami matchup gives him an additional boost. The key is simply monitoring Jefferson's status before lock.
Kalif Raymond — $3,600
Kalif Raymond is the true salary-saving option of this group, but his early-season usage makes him much more than a random punt play. Through three games, Raymond has seen 20 targets and caught 19 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown, while producing an impressive 2.85 yards per route run. His 20.4% target share and 23% first-read share are particularly encouraging considering his $3,600 DraftKings salary, and he has also received three red-zone targets. The matchup with the Jets isn't perfect — New York has allowed the seventh-fewest yards per target to perimeter receivers and ranks 17th in fantasy points allowed per opportunity — but Raymond's usage gives him a path to production even against a tougher secondary. The Jets also play two-high coverage at the fifth-highest rate in the league, and Raymond has led Chicago with a 22% target-per-route-run rate against two-high looks while averaging 2.00 yards per route run. That combination of short-area volume, efficiency and an extremely low salary makes Raymond particularly valuable for lineups that need to spend heavily elsewhere.
